What kind of electronic signature is this?

Updated 10 July 2026

Under eIDAS, electronic signatures come in tiers. Signet provides a Simple Electronic Signature (SES), backed by a strong evidence trail: explicit consent, the signer's email, timestamps, IP, and a tamper-evident, hash-chained audit record, plus a cryptographic seal on the finished document.

A Simple Electronic Signature is appropriate for the large majority of everyday business agreements. Stronger, identity-verified tiers exist for the minority of cases that need them, and are on our longer-term roadmap.
